When Laura decided to change careers, she and Don discovered this "little bit of heaven" to develop their "country" field and obedience training business. They built the lake and nestled the kennel in the curve of the creek.

Currently, Laura and Don have designed and are building their house, "Featherquest", around the lake. Laura has captured many of the "postcard" sunsets at D-Bar-L.
