Whether
you are a seasoned competitor or just beginning your journey into
the sport of competition obedience, Laura and Don provide private
instruction for individuals who are following the competition obedience
circuit. Pulling from experience earned from training personal dogs
who have completed their Obedience Trial Championships and reached
national ranking, they provide one-on-one instruction tailored for
you and your dog providing you a competitive edge. We structure
a training curriculum to help you fulfill your goals - whether it
is just titles or national ranking you are seeking.

To
name but a few of the more outstanding accomplishments in the area
of competition obedience:
Laura's dog, OTCh KC's Mystic Fortune of Barty JH, WCX, UDX "Fame"
earned 1,480 OTCh points with 64 High-in-Trials and 52 High-Combined
awards. In 1996, Fame was #2 Golden Retriever in the US and was
#3 all-breed.

Laura's dog, OTCh. Holway Destinee ByDesign UDX2, WCX, JH "Desi"
set a record as he began his obedience career. While competing
in Novice, he earned a perfect score of 200 his first four times
in the AKC obedience ring. After completing 18 performances, his
average score was 199.2 (200 being a perfect score). Desi has since completed his Obedience Trial Championship, has been nationally ranked, and received an invitation from the American Kennel Club to the Obedience Invitational Tournament in California.

Laura has also completed the Obedience Trial Championship on OTCh FeatherQuest Jade ByDesign UDX2 SH, WCX - better known as "Quest". Quest received National Ranking and was invited by the American Kennel Club to compete in the AKC's National Invitational Competition held in California.

After being shown 15 times in Novice, Don's "Journey" OTCh Featherquest Journey ByDesign UDX3, JH, WCX maintained an average
score of 198.2. Journey has now completed his Obedience Trial Championship title and has been nationally ranked. In relationship to Golden Retrievers, Journey was ranked #3 Golden in High-in-Trials and #3 in High Combined's in June 2006.

They have coached individual obedience teams through CD, CDX, and
UD with teams achieving High-in-Trials and national ranking within
their breed. Not all the dogs they train are personally owned by
them.
Laura
trained and campaigned a Golden Retriever "Angie" belonging
to Mercedes Hitchcock with scores averaging 197. Angie qualified
and competed at the Gaines Central Regional in Oklahoma and earned
7th place in the Novice category. Laura also trained another Golden
"Auburn" belonging to Jan Sultanik. Auburn earned her
CD title with a Dog World Award. Auburn was back at training at
Furrst Place in 2004 and earned her Junior Hunter title in field.

also trained a Gordon Setter "Cash" for his CD with also
a Dog World Award. "Cash" became the #1 ranked Gordon
Setter in 2002.

Laura
also trained "Quest" a Golden retriever belonging to Chris
and Carolyn Carlson. He earned his title in 3 consecutive shows
with placements.
